... Lynda's art education is varied. She earned a diploma in Interior Design from Franshaw College in London, Ontario. She took one year of Fine Arts at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario. She has taken courses in watercolor, printmaking, fashion illustrating, architectural perspective and airbrush from the Ontario College of Art, Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto and from the Alberta College of Art in Calgary, Alberta. She has also attended workshops at Sunbury Shores in St. Andrews, New Brunswick.

She worked in various areas of interior design until discovering architechnical illustrating which she pursued for the next 10 years. Then she married, had 2 children and has been painting full time ever since.

She has shown locally at Marba Art Gallery, Gallery Connection, The Laura & Andrew McCain Art Gallery, the Playhouse Gallery, Centennial Building, Cafe DuMonde, Regency Rose Cafe and Gallery 78. She markets prints and originals at the Soldiers Barracks summer boutiques and at the Christmas Arts & Crafts Market.

Her paintings portray a love of flower shapes and colour, natural woodlands and homey architectural interiors and exteriors. She has participated in life drawing since college and enjoys painting figure studies and portraits of her children. She likes to catch the light, which gives her paintings a special warmth and brightness, allowing the colours to "sing".
